All-Electric Manipulator:
(24 VDC, 3 A min.) Does not require a hydraulic power unit for operation. Power is supplied through the mounting platform.
Lightweight:
Manipulator weighs 13 lbs. (5.9 Kg) in water, compensated.
Multiple-Functions:
1.Grip 2.Liftcurl 3.Curl 4.Shoulder Roll.
High-Efficiency Structure:
Made of heat-treated steel which is strong, yet lightweight enough for smaller ROV's.
Highly Reliable:
DC brushless motors provide a long, trouble-free life.
Digital Communication System:
Requires only one twisted, shielded pair for operation of multiple functions at distances of up to 5,000 feet.
Exchangeable End of Arm Tooling:
Allows for use of task-specific end effectors for wide range of applications. A small hydraulic pump controls the operation of the end effector.
Fully Compensated:
System is limited in depth only by the electronics bottle, which can be specially designed per customer requirements. Manipulator is unaffected by pressure. The standard electronics bottle is rated to 2000 feet of sea water(FSW).
Protective Polyurethane Sleeve:
Impervious to most chemicals, protects structure and acts as compensating bellows. Specially formulated to be extremely tear resistant.
Overload Safety Clutch:
Protects manipulator from short-term extreme overload caused by ship, vehicle or environment movement and gives the system compliance.
Motors are Protected:
Unique design protects motors within main housing while allowing a large range in motion. Constant-curve motion facilitates use of a second exterior sleeve for additional protection in hazardous materials situations.
Adjustable Current Limiting and Speed Control:
Provides compatibility with vehicle or other equipment and increased performance on specific tasks.
Simple Design and Construction:
Minimizes down time through field maintainability and serviceability.
Curvilinear Action:
Patented action provides three-dimensional reach envelope.
